This provides additional clearance under the rocker panels, but not under the frame or differentials. Suspension lift kits raise the frame by effectively lowering the wheels relative to the frame. This increases ground clearance under all of the truck except the lower control arms. Both types of kits allow the installation of larger tires which, in turn, does raise the entire truck and increases overall ground clearance. A body lift and a suspension lift may both be installed on the same truck for even greater clearance. Note: Lift kits and/or larger tires may affect portions of your vehicle warranty.
