Winch line has thimble (loop) on one end and a terminal on the other. Extensions have thimbles on both ends.

Winch lines include a 10' protective sheath that can be positioned anywhere along the line to help protect the line from abrasion. Sheath remains in place and winds onto top layer of drum.

Roller fairleads are commonly used with wire rope. They are not recommended for use with synthetic line. There are several reasons:
synthetic line flattens when loaded, and may get pinched in the corners of rollers
synthetic line is too slick to turn most rollers
rollers often have sharp nicks or abrasive areas on the surface that could damage synthetic line
Smooth aluminum Hawse fairleads are available for most popular winches, including the factory Warn winch on the Hummer / H1.
Reuse your existing hook, or buy a new one. Many styles are available.
Size Selection:
You need to know what size how much wire rope your winch uses. You can always select the same size and length. In many cases, you can select slightly longer synthetic without problems if you use care during use and rewinding. In many cases, you can safely select a smaller size and much longer length. 3/8" synthetic line is stronger than 7/16" wire rope. 5/16" synthetic line is almost as strong as 3/8" wire rope, and far exceeds the winch rating for most winches using 3/8" wire rope.
H1 factory winch uses 85' of 7/16" wire rope.
H2 factory winch uses 125' of 3/8" wire rope.
For other winches, check the manufacturer's specifications.
